TV Dinners...
Thanks for stopping Rob and for the TV dinner, dinner. That was fun. I needed that. :) Hope you had a nice drive home.
Nice picture
Did you take that on your trip up north? I am passing through later today to Northern Equipment. I have some things I need to get and I thought it looked like a good day for a drive. I will stop by and see if you are around.

Sh***y Day

This picture is my answer to a sh***Y day, so that's what I am calling it here. There are situations that I can take control of, and others that make me feel really lousy, but not under my control. I can't control how others think or act. Getting through days when those out of control things are pressing is sometimes a moment by moment thing, that I have to chose moment by moment to change it for the better. Right now I am reposting a picture that made me feel really good. After this I will go to class and listen to somebody lecture for 3 hours who is really knowledgeable and and loves what he teaches. After that I will spend some play time with my grandaughter before she leaves for the weekend. If I stop at the grocery store, I will make a point to acknowledge the cashier, ask him/her how she is and tell him/her to have a good day, and really mean it, because they are working for a lousy wage and have their own challenges too. And all day I will be thankful for the people in my life who make me feel cared about and important, and I hope all of my family and friends feel cared about and important and know they can always find it in them to deal with whatever comes their way.

I don't remember the year I took these pictures. It was before I had a digital camera, and I was using 35mm slide film. My guess is 2003, so that's what I put on the images. I do remember it was late winter, like March, and the trees had these little buds. We had an ice storm the day before, followed by snow. The next morning everything was covered in a layer of ice. It was dazzling, and beautiful. I remember feeling almost euphoric walking through the woods that morning.

Crystal balls. Early spring buds, fell from the trees, heavy with their ice encasements.
